Difficult but we made it!

Today was a little hard. M and I got up early again (after pressing the snooze a few times :) ) however, after we both started running we realized how important it is to eat right. The night before M and I had indulged on some sweets that we began to regret the first half mile of our run. As we encouraged one another on throughout the run, we mumbled to one another in between our breathes our complaints about the food we were now feeling in our bellies. Being saturday, there were tons of people where we were running, so we tried to weave in and out, while bicyclists and others zoomed past us and we tried to stay encouraged. I knew if I didn't think about it too much, my legs would keep going and I would eventually get to the end. And praise Jesus we made it in 22 minutes. And we now we will be thinking twice before we put food into our mouths! I am just glad we made it without walking, and now we're onto Day 7- almost made it a full week!

P.S. Say NO to ginger snaps, ice cream and oatmeal cookies the night before a run! :)

Tired

1. Move out of house
2. Clean house top to bottom
3. Play with puppy
4. Get in run

It was one FULL day. Moving is always bigger than I plan on.   I had to run inside today because the lightning was too much to battle.  This is one pooped princess!

Ready to RUN!

Loves!

So I got started on the training schedule a little off (on Wednesday), so I'm a little behind.  So far so good though.  I had a hard time with it on Wednesday because I hadn't run since my 5k on Saturday so it was painful getting through those 2 miles.  I had to lower my speed a little bit today because I didn't want to push it.

I agree with Carli, I think its awesome that we are all doing this!! You both seriously keep me motivated to do it.

So what is everyone's Favorite princess? Belle!

I am going to have to be a little creative and flexible with miles and training.  Some days there is no way I am making it with my long days in school + in the hospital.  We work 12 hr days and so those days aren't going to work but I am definitely up for this challenge!!! whooohooo!!!

Oh and here is a picture from my first 5k! It was on July 24th, and I did it in 39 minutes. (I know, slow, about 12:30 min miles) I hope my next one is 36 min.
My friends Katy, Brittany, Molly, ME!, Aidana, and Effie.

LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!!

THAT is a good hill

There's this hill about 2/3rds of the way into my run and I like it. You know why I like it? Because that hill is hard. And Jesus is on that hill. He whispers to me that He made my body and He made it strong. He made a body that can run up hills and climb mountains. He made a body that can wage war with the devil and win. So keep running up that hill. That hill reminds me who it is that makes me a princess in the first place. That hill reminds me of my sweet princess sisters that are out there sweating and cursing hills with me! I like that hill.

Today you girls were important! I was tired and didn't want to go out. But I remembered your post N. You ran at the crack of dawn today, so surely I could get my run in too!

Day 5 and Still Alive!

So I just have to say that I am SO very excited about this! It's seriously by the grace of God that I am even able to run and finish the run each day....and I am so thankful to be training with my wonderful sisters! So far, the first week is going very well :) M and I get up at 6:30am and run our 2 miles as the sun is coming up. I love it, there is something about praising Jesus and watching Him start the day right before your eyes over the beautiful bay. Even though M was embarrassed I did this, i took a picture of us to document our first day of running! So excited to continue to run and share this with you :)

Just finished Day 5!
